Mark A. Denlinger Has Been Named Partner Mark A. Denlinger is a new partner in the Knox firm. Attorney Denlinger concentrates his practice on business, commercial and tax law with a special emphasis on health law and the healthcare industry. He is a regular attendee at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Health Law Institute in Philadelphia and has presented several seminars on nonprofit board governance issues, business planning, corporate organizational matters, tax-exempt compliance issues for public charities and private foundations, physician-hospital contracts and affiliations, and medical recordkeeping issues to local healthcare and nonprofit business leaders. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Attorney Denlinger received his Juris Doctor degree from the Dickinson School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Law Review. Prior to joining the Knox Firm in 2003, he was associated with a general practice law firm in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, representing various financial institutions, businesses and tax-exempt clients throughout south central Pennsylvania. While in Carlisle, Attorney Denlinger assisted and coordinated the sale of assets of the local nonprofit, tax-exempt hospital system, Carlisle Hospital and Health Services, to Health Management Associates, Inc., a for-profit company, for over $41 million, including obtaining approvals from the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office and the local Orphans' Court . A native of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, Attorney Denlinger resides in Millcreek Township with his wife, Amy, and their daughter. He is an active member and current board president of Vision and Blindness Resources and has served on its board since 2004. He is active with the United Way of Erie County and has served on numerous United Way fund allocation panels since 2003. He is a member of the Hamot Health Foundation Board of Corporators, and is the current chair of the Business and Commercial Law Section of the Erie County Bar Association.
