Mr. Wegley’s practice involves business law (business succession planning, corporate and partnership law), estate planning and elder law (complex estate planning and administration; nursing home, Medicaid and special needs planning) and asset protection planning. Prior to joining Knox, he worked at Ernst & Young as a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Wegley regularly lectures on estate planning, asset protection, wealth preservation, business succession and special needs planning to a variety of audiences and groups. He serves as Treasurer on the firm’s Board of Directors.

Recent Accomplishments

  • Developed and presented numerous seminars to regional business owners on succession planning, including information on transferring control and wealth from one owner to another while avoiding any negative impact on the company, employees or community
  • Successfully implemented succession plans for numerous clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing, service, and consulting
  • Created asset protection plans for multiple clients in high risk occupations, including physicians and business owners, effectively reducing their liability exposure
