UPMC Hamot Names Thomas A. Tupitza Board Chair

Thomas A. Tupitza was named chair of UPMC Hamot's board of directors at the annual meeting on October 22, 2015. He will also be on the board of directors for UPMC in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Tupitza has served on UPMC Hamot's board since November 2004, most recently as vice chair for the past two years. As a board member, he has chaired the governance committee and serves on the executive and partnership affiliation committees. He was also board chair of Regional Health Services, Inc. and currently serves as trustee and corporator for Hamot Health Foundation.

At Knox, Mr. Tupitza's practice is focused on public finance, real estate, health law and nonprofit organizations. He has served as the firm's President since 2007, is AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated, and is active on other community boards including the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership, The Nonprofit Partnership and Westminster College.
