Mark Wassell will speak on Wednesday to the Superintendent Advisory Council of the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV. His topic is "Thoughts & Observations about Collective Bargaining Negotiations Involving School Districts."

The group includes superintendents and sometimes other administrators from school districts from the intermediate unit (IU), which is one of 29 IUs serving schools in Pennsylvania. This IU serves 27 school districts and 3 vo-tech schools in Mercer, Lawrence, and Butler Counties.

At Knox Law, Mark counsels and defends employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including several school districts. His practice includes hiring and termination issues, claims of discrimination and harassment, drug testing, employee handbooks, employment and severance agreements, grievance arbitration, and collective bargaining. He speaks often to a variety of business and HR groups throughout western Pennsylvania and beyond.
