Knox Law Attorneys Present at Annual HVA Seminar for Long-Term Care Facilities

Seven Knox Law attorneys will present at Thursday's annual Long-Term Care Law Seminar, hosted by Healthcare Ventures Alliance (HVA).

Over 30 representatives from long-term care facilities in northwestern Pennsylvania are expected at the event, which is held every year at Saint Mary's Asbury Ridge in Millcreek.

Mark T. Wassell will speak about "Discrimination Law Update: ADA, Pregnancy, and LGBT Issues in the Workplace."

Mr. Wassell, who is licensed to practice in both Pennsylvania and Ohio, has been helping employers with labor & employment issues for over 30 years.

Carl N. Moore will speak about "Workers’ Compensation Issues Affecting Long-Term Care Facilities." Mr. Moore practices in the areas of workers' compensation and governmental law.

Elliott J. Ehrenreich will speak about "Corporate Compliance Programs and Oversight in the Long Term Care Industry."

Mr. Ehrenreich, who is licensed to practice in both Pennsylvania and New York, concentrates his practice on business acquisitions and financings, health law and other general business transactions.

Julia M. Herzing will speak about "What Does the Peake Decision Mean for Long-Term Care Employers?"

Ms. Herzing's practice focuses on a variety of labor & employment matters, including litigation. She works with both private and public employers, counseling and representing clients on compliance with workplace laws, hiring and firing issues, and collective bargaining.

Joy E. Taylor will speak about :The False Claims Act - Why Health Care Billing is Thrilling."

Ms. Taylor focuses her practice in the areas of business, health law, and intellectual property & technology. She has a Masters in Public Health and is a registered patent attorney.

Robert D. Zaruta will speak about "Employer’s Guide to Termination: Minimizing Risk of Litigation."

Mr. Zaruta’s practice is focused on a variety of labor & employment matters, including litigation. He works with both private and public employers.
