Mark Wassell Speaks on Accommodating Employees in Opioid Recovery

Mark T. Wassell, Shareholder, will speak on Thursday, September 24, 2020 during a webinar for the Lawrence County Community Action Partnership. His topic is “Opioid Use Disorder: Hiring and Accommodating Employees in Recovery.”

The audience will include local (Lawrence County) employers.

Lawrence County Community Action Partnership provides over 8,000 citizens with critical services each year related to education, employment, transportation, health, housing, healthy homes, and childcare. It is made up of three agencies: Lawrence County Social Services, Inc., Allied Coordinated Transportation Services, Inc. and United Community Services of Lawrence County.

At Knox Law, Mr. Wassell counsels and defends employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. He represents employers in a range of sectors including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and education. His practice includes hiring and termination issues, claims of discrimination and harassment, drug testing, employee handbooks, employment and severance agreements, grievance arbitration, and collective bargaining. He frequently handles matters before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, and similar state agencies. He also conducts in house training programs for employers on a number of employment topics and speaks often to a variety of business and HR groups throughout western Pennsylvania and beyond.
