Michael J. Musone, Shareholder, recently won a tax assessment valuation case on behalf of Erie's Public Schools that will result in past due taxes of nearly $1.2 million.

Following a multi-day trial, the Erie County Court of Common Pleas adopted the District’s valuation conclusions, in whole, for a senior living facility located in the City of Erie. As a result, the District alone will receive nearly $600,000 in past due taxes, with an overall award to the taxing bodies of nearly $1.2 million. Further, the property owner will pay an additional $172,000 per year in taxes to the taxing bodies.

Mr. Musone is a full-time litigator who focuses his practice on the legal defense of commercial enterprises and insurance companies. He also practices Orphan’s Court litigation, including will contests, trusts and estate matters.
