Knox Law's 32nd Annual Municipal Law Symposium, held on Monday, April 30, 2018, attracted 159 attendees from 14 Pennsylvania Counties: Erie, Mercer, Crawford, Allegheny, Clarion, Venango, Warren, Lawrence, Butler, Forest, Indiana, Jefferson, McKean and Potter.

Two keynote speakers were featured: Jason Russell, Chief Security Officer and EVP of Firestorm Security Solutions/SEC, and the Honorable Joe Schember, Mayor of the City of Erie.

Jason Russell spoke on: "Ready or Not: Is Your Organization Prepared for an Active Violence Event?" A former U.S. Secret Service Special Agent, Jason leads a team of former Secret Service agents in delivering White House-level threat assessment and protection to schools and businesses.

Mayor Joe Schember, who took office in January 2018, spoke about "A Vision for Erie."

The Symposium also featured several Knox Law attorneys offering legal topics of interest to public entities: schools, townships, boroughs, authorities and more.

Knox Law considers it a privilege to host so many representatives from public entities in our region, and we look forward to next year's event, on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
