Robert G. Dwyer Receives Louis J. Tullio Community Service Award

Robert G. Dwyer received the 2015 Louis J. Tullio Community Service Award at yesterday evening's Celebration of Excellence, held by the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership at the Bayfront Convention Center.

The award, which has been given by the Chamber and Growth Partnership since 1991, is nominated and voted on by the Chamber and Growth Partnership's Board of Directors, "recognizes a person or persons who have performed outstanding service by actively using abilities, initiative, resources and energies to sustain and improve the Erie community for the present and future generations." Past awardees have included Governor Raymond Shafer, Tom Hagen, Ted Junker, Ed and Mike Mead, John Kanzius, Senator Jane Earll and Nick Scott Sr.

Mr. Dwyer has been active in the Erie community throughout his career. He has served as Board Chair in the past for the Erie Community Foundation, United Way of Erie County, Hamot Health Foundation, The Erie Club, and the Kahkwa Club. He has served as board member for the Regional Cancer Center, Springhill Senior Living Community, the Estate Planning Council of Erie, and Catholic Charities.
