Knox Attorneys Speak at HVA Law Seminar

Five attorneys from Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, P.C. will speak at next Thursday's "2014 Law Seminar" presented by Healthcare Ventures Alliance. The seminar, held at St. Mary's Asbury Ridge, is designed to provide relevant legal updates for administrators and human resource professionals from long-term care providers.

For a labor and employment perspective, Mark T. Wassell will review "Key Elements of an FMLA Policy" and Julia M. Herzing will present "Preventing New Employees from Becoming New Litigation." will give a presentation on "Affirmative Defenses to Workers' Compensation Claims," while David M. Mosier and Carsen N. Ruperto will provide a "Refresher and Update" on the Affordable Care Act.

The seminar will also feature an update from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), presented by Theresa A. Naim, Area Director for the Erie er Service Division.
