Thomas C. Hoffman, II will speak tomorrow, April 28, at the Energy Legacy Organization's Summit II at the Avalon Golf and Country Club in Hermitage,PA. Mr. Hoffman, who has been integral in the organization's formation, will give the opening remarks at the event, which is expected to draw dozens of charitable organizations from the region.

The Energy Legacy Organization (ELO) leverages our region’s energy opportunities for the benefit of future generations by promoting philanthropic giving of energy wealth. The organization provides education and resource materials to community foundations and other charities in western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia; supports work with land and mineral rights owners and their professional advisors related to charitable gifts resulting from oil, gas or mineral rights royalties, including shale energy; and shares resources, education, advice and news to support the independent efforts of ELO charitable member organizations.

At Knox Law, Mr. Hoffman's practice is focused on closely held business planning, business succession planning, implementation of sophisticated estate & trust planning, administration of complex estates & trusts, and the tax consequences of these matters. He speaks frequently to businesses, professional advisors, individuals and families on various estate planning and business succession topics.
